Millicent Alspaugh

President

Millicent “Millie” Alspaugh brings nonprofit leadership, small-business experience, and expertise in communications and educational psychology to the Coastal Montessori Board of Trustees. She holds degrees from Virginia Tech and the University of Virginia and a graduate certificate from Penn State. Millie co-founded Summit Behavior Therapy, served with Indigo Center for Autism, and is a yoga instructor and mother of three.

Libby Bunker

Vice President

Libby M. Bunker brings over a decade of public and global health experience to the Coastal Montessori School Board of Trustees. She holds a Doctor of Public Health from Johns Hopkins University and a Master of Public Health from George Washington University. Her work focuses on maternal health equity, nonprofit partnerships, and supported strengthening health systems across more than 25 low- and middle-income countries.

Treasurer

Jason Cook

Jason Cook brings extensive business, operations, and global logistics experience to the Coastal Montessori Board of Trustees, where he serves as Interim Treasurer. He is the founder of Ardent Global Logistics, recognized in Florida State University’s Seminole 100, and a member of Vistage. Jason has held leadership roles in international shipping and freight forwarding and is an avid golfer, Ironman finisher, and father.

Madison Cook

Secretary

Madison Cook brings meaningful elementary teaching experience and a passion for education to the Coastal Montessori School Board of Trustees. She is the founder of Three’s A Party, a party design business, and serves as Administrative Coordinator at Ardent Global Logistics, strengthening her skills in communications, marketing, and operations. Madison is also an avid runner and Boston Marathon qualifier.

David Calliott

Trustee

David began his career in finance after graduating cum laude in Finance from Virginia Tech and now serves as Vice President of Investments at Davenport & Company. A CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER®, he brings deep personal and family connections to Montessori education and remains active in the Virginia Beach community through philanthropic and civic engagement.

April MacDonald

Trustee

April MacDonald brings experience in business, communications, and Montessori education to Coastal Montessori School. A Virginia Tech graduate, she has worked in marketing, e-commerce, bookkeeping, and property management. April served as Administrative Assistant at Galilee Montessori School and remains active in her community through Virginia Rush Soccer Club, Cub Scouts, and the ViBe Creative District.
